Frequently Asked Questions
Last updated: April 25, 2026
Do I get a prescription automatically when I sign up?+
No. Payment of any fee does not guarantee a prescription. A licensed medical provider will evaluate you through a telehealth visit and determine, in their clinical judgment, whether a prescription is appropriate for you. The provider may approve, modify, deny, or recommend an alternative course of treatment.
Who decides if I qualify for treatment?+
An independent licensed medical provider, practicing through Jimenez Medical Wellness, PLLC or another affiliated medical group, makes all clinical decisions. The Platform does not interfere with or override clinical judgment.
Who fills the prescription?+
Approved prescriptions are routed to a licensed United States pharmacy that fills and ships the medication directly to you. See our Pharmacy & Fulfillment page for details.
Is care available in every state?+
No. Coverage depends on where our providers are licensed and may change over time. We confirm availability in your state during intake. See State Availability.
How much does it cost?+
A $35 consultation fee is charged when you book your initial telehealth visit. If your provider approves a prescription, the $35 is credited toward your first medication purchase. If your provider denies a prescription, the $35 is non-refundable. Most medications are sold as monthly subscriptions; pricing varies by treatment and is shown before you check out.
Do you accept insurance?+
No. ForbiddenRx is a cash-pay service. We do not accept or bill health insurance. You may submit our receipts to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement at your own discretion.
How do I cancel my subscription?+
You can cancel any active subscription through your patient portal at any time. Cancellations made before the next billing date prevent the next charge. Cancellations made after billing apply to the following month. See our Terms for the full refund policy.
What is a 503A compounded medication?+
A 503A compounded medication is a personalized preparation made by a licensed pharmacist for a specific patient pursuant to a valid prescription. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not verify the safety, efficacy, or quality of compounded preparations. Your provider will discuss compounded options and any commercially available FDA-approved alternatives. See our Pharmacy & Fulfillment page for the full disclosure.
What happens during the telehealth visit?+
You will connect with a licensed provider in your state by secure video. The provider will review your intake answers, ask follow-up questions, discuss treatment options, and decide whether prescription medication is appropriate. Most initial visits take 10–20 minutes.
How long does it take to receive my medication?+
Once your provider approves a prescription, the dispensing pharmacy typically ships within 1–3 business days. Standard shipping takes an additional 3–7 business days depending on your location and the type of medication.
Can I message my provider?+
Yes. Active patients can message their treating provider through the secure messaging in the patient portal. Provider response time is typically 1–2 business days.
What if I have a medical emergency?+
Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. ForbiddenRx is not for medical emergencies. Do not use the Service in place of emergency care.
